We're from these communities.
We built this for them.
Our story, our mission, and the values that guide everything we do—rooted in the people who feed us and the teams that stand beside them.
Why we started
A truly sustainable food system rests on the strength of the people who build it. For Sharlene, this truth took root during her childhood on a family farm in Jamaica, where she learned that care for the land must be matched with stability for the farmer. For Lori, it emerged over four years managing a local farmers market, witnessing the dedication of producers who often lack the financial tools to match their hard work. We believe these stewards deserve financial peace and abundance—not merely the ability to survive another season. When the hands that feed us are secure, the communities they nourish become stronger and the system itself becomes more resilient.
Our mission & values
We started TPV for Agricultural Impact to bring financial capacity building resources directly to farmers and food system workers who need it most, so those who dedicate their lives to building a sustainable food system can grow and thrive. We’ve worked side-by-side with farmers to understand their challenges—and develop plans that actually work for them. We’ve also sat with overworked, stressed nonprofit staff struggling to make ends meet while supporting farmers in the field.
By strengthening the financial well-being of farm families, agricultural workers, and the organizations that serve them, we help ensure the stability and longevity they need to lead their households and communities effectively. A financially empowered agricultural workforce is a more resilient one—when growers and helpers are whole, their capacity to uplift entire regions grows.
A strong food system starts with the financial stability of the people who build it.
